the silly bird returns

The cardinal has been flying into our window for 3 mornings in a row. Now I need to figure out how to stop it because the little continual hitting is driving me nuts!!! Why would a bird fly into a window over and over and over again????

I think it is trying to send you a message. Maybe you should just open the window and let it fly inside. I bet your kids would love it.

it thinks you're pretty? We had a bird in the hosue once...the Gryffin cat brought it in while it was alive. Jeff saw it and tried to take a picture for me (I was at CHA)it got scared and flew into the ceiling fan and was tossed into the kitchn sink. Nice.

We've had birds fly into our windows a lot, but they usually don't last to do it over and over. Maybe it just knows how absolutely amazing your family and home is. :-) Actually - it sounds like it's a bit messed up in the head. Birds aren't able to judge where a window is or isn't which is why they make these cute white window decals that you can put up. It helps... some. Good luck!

That's so interesting - you'd think the blinds would deter it! What would it do if you close the blinds so it couldn't see inside? Maybe that would help it move on to more appropriate flying patterns?!?

Dad said he has heard of birds seeing their reflection and thinking it was another bird trying to take over its territory and tried to get it out of there. He said your situation is weird! Remember when Mrs. Leeman had the bird came down the chimney? She had to take it to the vet to keep it alive. Don't go to the vet! Have fun! Blessings, Mom and Dad
